I’m so tired of paying for an evening of takeout when it’s so costly and then tip on top. I’m also tired of the establishment not doing anything but say thank you for your concerns and we’ll work on it. No, you refund your customers when they’re not happy with the food. My first time ordering from here and my last. I like to treat myself once in a while and I’m so disappointed. Since when does a beef brisket with juice turn into bbq sauce . That’s not a roast bf dip. I could have slapped a cheese whiz sandwich together and would have been better. Dry, bbq sauce on my sandwich which isn’t cool. No taste. Small portions and soggy fries. Sent me coke pop and I don’t drink coke. Bad experience all around. Waste of money.
We tried brisket plate and sausage plate at Dickeys BBQ pit in Courtice. The brisket was soaked in BBQ sauce which made it impossible to feel the taste of meat. Meat was super dry and cold. The onion tangles were almost burnt and dint taste good. The quantity and quality is not up to the mark. For dine-in, we were give plastic fork and knife.
Food is great. But several times I’ve come in for a special they have advertised and they tell me my items don’t qualify even though the marketing clearly contradicts there unspoken rules. Starting to leave distracted and disappointed more and more. The ad below says buy 1 get 1 free “any item” the manager told me not my item.
Was there recently to see if they have takeout menus. They don't. Was told you have to order online if you want to do takeout. They don't do orders over the phone. That's not really fair for people who don't have smartphones or the internet at home. They also don't accommodate food allergies.
The food was delicious, the brisket was moist but I did get some fat cap which wasn't enjoyable. The flavours were spot on, the bun was fresh, and the baked beans and potato salad were delicious. They did ask me if I wanted onions and pickles on my brisket sandwich and I said yes to both but they forgot the pickles. That's fine, the sandwich was still tasty. They also included a small container of extra BBQ sauce which was nice. I'll definitely be back to try something new from their menu.
We tried it today, we ordered Beef rib plate, Pit Dip sandwich and chicken mac stack. We loved everything. The staff was really amazing!! Very respectful and polite. It's 100% halal and we loved everything, will come again!
