Amy at the Courtice Library Maker Station is truly exceptional. I am beyond grateful for her knowledge, patience, and genuine care. She has an incredible ability to take what’s in my head and help turn it into a real, tangible project. Her expertise with the Maker Station has helped me more than I can express, and I am so thankful for the time and attention she gives so generously. Amy’s caring, upbeat, always-smiling personality is such a gift to the Courtice Library and to everyone who walks through its doors. She creates a welcoming, encouraging environment where you feel supported and capable. You can truly feel her passion for helping others succeed. Thank you, Amy, from the bottom of my heart, for all you have done to help my projects come to life. You are an absolute blessing to this community, and I am so deeply grateful for you.
I had a wonderful outing today at the 55 plus center playing Mexican Train. The dominos weren't great it was made up by the warmth of the players. Great time.
I love this little library but I wish it was quiet place to read. last Saturday people were making much noise, talking on the phone. I know they work hard in there and we love to visit every week but at least adults should try to stay quiet, it's not some regular place to meet and catch up with friends unless your friends are books
A small, but good collection of books for young and adult readers. My 4yo and I regularly visit. They have washrooms, a coffee machine, easy checkout machines and friendly staff.
Least favourite library to go to. The children that come with their moms in the mornings actually do not make that much noise, it is all the high school kids that come between 10-1 that make it crazy loud, make the wifi slow, and literally take up all the seats when they come in groups of 4+. They made a "no eat rule" from 10-12, but that literally stops nothing. I make sure I have no computer work from those times because the wifi does not work when everyone is here. You guys need to make it apparent that this is a library, not a social for high school kids to run around and talk in groups.
I like Courtice library. It is clean and modern. I come here with my daughter often. It has a good library although it is a bit small. Sometimes kids are too loud and some teenagers are being disrespectful to adults or maybe this is a library culture in Courtice library. Unfortunately nothing I could do to make them quite I tried to report to a librarian who works there but the librarian didn't really help. The overall function of the library system works.
