Outstanding Service from Janiya ( Jenaia) at Mary Brown’s Courtice! I stopped by the Mary Brown’s in Courtice, Ontario on what was clearly one of the busiest Mondays of the week, and I was beyond impressed with Janiya’s level of service and composure. In just ten minutes, I watched her manage at least sixteen customers — including one who came in upset about a previous order — while keeping the line moving steadily and every customer engaged. She handled every interaction with professionalism, patience, and a genuine smile. What really stood out was how she managed to juggle so much at once while still making sure every person felt acknowledged. She didn’t rush anyone, didn’t lose her calm, and showed the kind of leadership and empathy that you rarely see in fast-paced environments like this. As someone who manages Customer Success for a tech company, I was truly impressed by her service mindset. She embodies the same principles we strive for in enterprise client management — clear communication, empathy under pressure, and consistent follow-through. Mary Brown’s should be proud to have someone like Janiya representing the brand. Her work ethic, professionalism, and genuine care for customers are outstanding. She absolutely deserves recognition for the quality experience she delivers, even during the busiest moments.
This place is my guilty pleasure. I know fried chicken isnt the healthiest thing in the world, but its really hard to say no to a big mary and a tater poutine. Good mobile ordering experience, with a rewards program. Food is always ready and warm when I walk in.
Order placed was incorrect. This is the second time this has occurred on my past two separate orders. Also on my daughters last placed order completed via the ap, she waited over 30 minutes to be served at the Courtice location, her order was not even started yet walk in customers who had placed their order well after her received their orders before her. She registered a complaint and was told to provide details to same generic email address provided in replies to other customers with complaints. Sadly, no one responded to her to follow up. Service is completely unacceptable. Will not be back. I truly want and prefer to support local but quality and service need to be of good value. Shame on this franchise.
